As a Skilled Carpenter, you will play a crucial role in the construction and repair of a variety of structures and fixtures. Your responsibilities will include:
• Installing foundations, walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs using materials such as wood, steel, metal, concrete, plastics, and composite materials.
• Fitting and installing window frames, doors, door frames, and door hardware while ensuring precision with tools like levels and laser levels.
• Erecting scaffolding and ladders to safely assist in assembling structures at various heights.
• Interpreting blueprints, sketches, and building plans to prepare project layouts and determine necessary dimensions and materials.
• Cutting and shaping materials to specified measurements using hand tools, machines, and power saws.
• Adhering to safety regulations to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Building or repairing cabinets, doors, and other wooden fixtures using woodworking machines and hand tools.
• Assembling and fastening materials to create frameworks or props using various tools and fasteners.
• Inspecting and identifying any damaged or defective parts in structures for repair or replacement.
• Transporting materials around the job site as required.
• Cleaning up debris and maintaining a tidy worksite.
