We are seeking a skilled Carpenter / Installer to complete the finishing touches on trim and carpentry work for different construction and commercial projects. You may work on a variety of projects, including cabinet making, door/bathroom hardware, base/window trim, indoor mailbox clusters, fire extinguisher boxes, framing, decking, window and stair customizations, crown molding, and baseboard installations. The ideal candidate has an aptitude for precision and can accommodate unique build requirements from clients. Candidates must have prior experience or training in trim carpentry or finish carpentry and are motivated.
Carpenter / Installer Duties
• Daily travel to jobsites required, sites range from Vancouver/Portland to Corvallis/Eugene
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation of fixtures and structural components.
• Perform framing tasks including metal stud framing and concrete forming as required by project specifications.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools safely and efficiently to complete tasks.
• Perform finish and trim carpentry work according to plans and specifications
• Erect scaffolding or ladders as needed.
• Collaborate with other carpenters, journeymen, and supervisors to complete projects
• Assist with heavy lifting and material handling on construction sites while adhering to safety protocols.
• Troubleshoot and repair issues with building components and equipment
• Follow established regulations and advocate for safety on each worksite
Finish Carpenter / Installer Skills
• Extensive experience in construction blueprint reading.
• Proficiency in trim carpentry, framing carpentry (including metal studs), and door hanging.
• Skilled in the use of hand tools (saws, hammers, chisels), power tools (drills, saws)
• Completion of a relevant finish carpentry training program or apprenticeship or at least one year of carpentry experience
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during complex installations.
• Keen attention to detail
• Troubleshooting and communication skills
• Physical stamina for lifting equipment and working at various heights and in tight spaces
• Excellent analytical skills
