PRST is seeking skilled and detail-oriented Concrete Form Carpenter with finishing experience to join our construction team in the Richmond, VA area. As a Concrete Form Carpenter, you will be responsible for creating, assembling, and dismantling concrete forms, as well as assisting with rebar work and concrete pouring. The ideal candidate MUST have a strong background in concrete form carpentry and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship in a safe and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
• Form Carpentry: Build, assemble, install, and dismantle wood or metal forms for concrete structures, including foundations, walls, columns, and slabs.
• Concrete Pouring: Assist with pouring and finishing concrete to ensure forms are properly filled and finished to specifications.
• Rebar Work: Measure, cut, bend, and install rebar and reinforcing materials to provide structural support for concrete.
• Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications to ensure accuracy in form construction and placement.
• Equipment Use: Operate hand tools, power tools, and other construction equipment safely and efficiently.
• Quality Control: Ensure forms are level, plumb, and meet project specifications before pouring concrete.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines, ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and others.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including laborers and supervisors, to complete projects on time and to the highest standards.
• Possess tools of the trade
• Proven experience as a Concrete Form Carpenter in residential, commercial, or industrial construction.
• Strong knowledge of form carpentry techniques, concrete pouring processes, and rebar installation.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment.
• Physical ability to lift heavy materials, work outdoors in various weather conditions, and perform tasks requiring physical stamina.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
