Messer Construction is actively looking for a talented Carpenter to support our commercial and industrial projects in the Construction department. In this exciting role, you will engage in both rough and finish carpentry, including framing, formwork, and the installation of doors, windows, casework, and trim. You will have the opportunity to interpret blueprints, measure and cut materials, all while ensuring that your work adheres to stringent safety, quality, and industry standards. Key Responsibilities
• Read and interpret blueprints and project plans to accurately execute work.
• Perform rough and finish carpentry for a variety of commercial projects.
• Install framing, doors, windows, casework, and trim with precision and care.
• Measure, cut, and assemble wood and various construction materials effectively.
• Ensure all work meets Messer's high quality, safety, and industry standards.
• Collaborate closely with site supervisors and trade partners for project success.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and keep a clean, safe job site at all times.
• Follow all safety procedures and regulations to promote a safe working environment.
Essential Skills
• Rough framing expertise is essential.
• Proficiency in finish carpentry techniques.
• Strong ability to read blueprints accurately.
• Experience with power tools is required.
• Ability to use hand tools effectively.
• Solid understanding of construction math.
• Knowledge of building codes is a must.
• Experience with concrete formwork.
• Competence in interior and exterior installations.
• Understanding of job site safety protocols (OSHA).
