Carpenter - Water/Wastewater Construction
TF Contracting Services Phoenix, AZ
$30 - $40 per hour, based on experience
TF Contracting Services, a general engineering contractor specializing in water and wastewater infrastructure, is seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our self-performing field team. In this role, you will be responsible for all formwork and carpentry-related tasks supporting structural concrete construction on water and wastewater projects, including lift stations, booster pump stations, treatment facilities, and related civil infrastructure.
Responsibilities
• Build, set, and strip concrete formwork for footings, walls, slabs, and structural elements per project plans and specifications
• Read and interpret construction drawings, shop drawings, and structural details to ensure accurate layout and dimensions
• Measure, cut, and assemble lumber, plywood, and engineered formwork systems
• Install and align rebar, embeds, anchor bolts, and waterstop in coordination with form placement
• Ensure formwork is properly braced, shored, and leveled to withstand concrete pour pressure
• Work closely with concrete superintendents and crews to maintain project schedules and quality standards
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite in accordance with company and OSHA safety standards
• Perform general carpentry and construction support tasks as needed
Qualifications
• Prior experience as a carpenter in heavy civil, concrete, or water/wastewater construction preferred
• Strong understanding of formwork systems and concrete construction methods
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and on active construction sites
• Valid driver's license; reliable transportation to job sites required
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
