Job description
Cargill seeks a skilled Carpenter to support its manufacturing facilities. In this role, you will construct, install, and repair wood and related structures, equipment bases, and fixtures supporting production operations. Responsibilities include reading blueprints, framing, finishing, and performing layout and measurements to precise tolerances. You will maintain a safe, clean work area and follow all Cargill and OSHA safety standards. Collaborating with maintenance and production teams, you'll help improve reliability and efficiency while contributing to Cargill's culture of integrity, safety, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
• Construct, install, and repair wood and related structures, fixtures, and equipment bases in manufacturing facilities
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to plan layout and materials
• Perform accurate measurements, cutting, framing, and finishing to required tolerances
• Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and carpentry machinery safely
• Assist maintenance and production teams with structural repairs and small construction projects
• Inspect completed work for quality, safety, and adherence to Cargill standards
• Maintain a safe, organized work area and comply with all OSHA and company safety procedures
• Collaborate with supervisors and trades to schedule work and minimize production downtime
