Job description
Read blueprints and shape building materials as a Carpenter working onsite at various locations, including heights. English or French is required.
This Carpenter position requires one to less than two years of experience and no degree, certificate, or diploma. You will prepare layouts according to building codes, construct structural systems, and install finishing components. The work includes residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments. You must work onsite without remote options and use hand tools while coordinating activities with other work units.
Key Responsibilities:
• Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine requirements
• Prepare building-code layouts with measuring tools
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials
• Build foundations, floors, walls, and roof systems
• Install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
Requirements:
• One to less than two years of experience
• English or French language ability
• Valid driver's licence and own transportation
• Bondable status
• Steel-toed boots and safety glasses or goggles
Apply blueprint reading, measuring, hand-tool use, and construction skills while completing physically demanding onsite carpentry work.
