Job description
Position: Remodeling Carpenter: Finish & Framing for High-End Homes
Now Hiring
· Platte + Pine Construction & Remodel
Do you take pride in work you would be happy to put your name on?
Platte + Pine is a design-build remodeling company based in Elkhorn, serving Omaha and the surrounding metro. We build kitchens, bathrooms, finished basements, ADUs, and whole-home remodels, and we have built our reputation on something homeowners rarely get from a contractor: clear scopes, fixed pricing, same-day communication, and finish work that holds up.
We are looking for a carpenter who wants to hold that same standard on the tools.
The Opportunity
As a Remodeling Carpenter, you are the person turning approved plans and 3D renderings into a finished space. You will work across both rough and finish carpentry in occupied homes throughout the Omaha metro… framing and layout one week, cabinetry and trim the next.
This is a hands-on role for someone who takes ownership of the finished product and does not need to be chased to get the details right.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
• Rough carpentry: framing, blocking, layout, structural modifications, subfloor, and door and window installation
• Finish carpentry: cabinetry, trim, base and casing, built-ins, doors, and hardware
• Support related scopes as the project requires, including demo, drywall repair, flooring, and paint touch-ups
• Build from plans, 3D renderings, and a defined scope of work
• Work through punch-list items so the final walkthrough is clean the first time
• Protect the client’s home with floor protection, dust containment, and daily cleanup on occupied job sites
• Keep the job site organized, safe, and inspection-ready
• Flag issues early and bring solutions to the project manager instead of surprises
• Represent Platte + Pine professionally with homeowners, inspectors, and trade partners
What We’re Looking For
• 3+ years of residential carpentry experience; remodeling experience preferred
• Strong finish carpentry skills, including cabinetry, trim, and millwork installation
• Comfortable with rough framing and structural modifications in existing homes
• Working familiarity with demo, drywall, flooring, and paint
• Your own hand tools and standard power tools
• Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record
• Able to lift and carry heavy materials and stay on your feet through the day
• Able to follow a defined scope and work independently once you have it
• Professional, clean, and respectful in clients’ homes… we are guests there
• Clear communicator who shows up on time
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, on-site across the Omaha metro.
What We Offer
• $22.00 to $28.00+ per hour, depending on experience
• Consistent, year-round full-time work
• High-end remodeling projects rather than production repetition
• Work that is planned before it starts… defined scopes, real schedules, and selections made up front
• Room to grow as the company grows
• Direct access to the owner, with no layers of bureaucracy in between
Why Platte + Pine
Platte + Pine started because the remodeling experience for most homeowners is genuinely bad… projects run long, prices creep up, and contractors go quiet. We built this company to fix that, and the same thinking applies to the people who work here: clear expectations, no chaos, and work you can be proud of.
We are locally owned, licensed and insured, BBB-accredited, and 5.0-rated on Google. That rating comes from the crew’s work as much as anyone’s.
How to Apply
